After my Delhi Commonwealth Games experience in 2010 I swore that I would never set foot in India again! However I have decided to venture back. Back to back cruises with Pandaw. Starting with a couple of days in Varanasi & Bodh Gayá before setting off down the Ganges in the opposite direction to the itinerary below.
Then a quick flight to Guwahati for 8 days cruising up the Brahmaputra for some Rhino & hopefully Tiger spotting..
Then a couple of days in Kolkata (Calcutta to you and me) before heading homewards in mid February.
BA have joined my shitlist of airlines to be avoided as they bumped me out of Business Class for the flight to Mumbai. However got here in the end and arrived in Varanasi. Grrrr!!
Monkeys in the lobby and funeral pyres outside my window on the banks of Mother Ganga. A dawn rowing boat trip scheduled for the morning. What could possibly go wrong ??
WordPress have changed the software since the last time I posted so be prepared for a few glitches …….
