Initially those who murdered the entire family took the bodies to the Four Brothers Mine and tried to burn and destroy them with gasoline and acid. The truck got stuck and the mine was full of water so they left the bodies in freezing water in the Mine.

The conspirators return on 18th July and removed the bodies, threw them naked into a truck and drove them deeper into the forest where once again the truck got stuck. They hastily dug 2 graves and dumped the bodies (some dismembered and some intact) into the shallow graves covering then with railway sleepers taken from the nearby railway. The Sleepers were covered with dirt and mud so as not to be visible (Site #2). For reasons that are unclear two bodies (Alekey & Maria) were carried about 50 meters further into the forest and buried separately
